NEUROBIOL AGING:肥胖与脑血流量减少有关,但运动可以改善!

近日,发表在Neurobiology of Aging杂志的一项研究显示,超重或肥胖会大大减少大脑中的血液流动,但增加体育锻炼可以积极地改变甚至抵消这种脑血流量的减少。

在这项研究中,研究人员对来自爱尔兰纵向老龄化研究的495名年龄在50岁以上的参与者进行调查,通过不同的肥胖测量指标,包括体重指数,腰臀比,腰围和体育锻炼,探索其与脑血流量之间的关系。

结果显示,通过MRI扫描和分析技术对测脑血流量测量发现,体重指数,腰臀比和腰围增加与脑血流量降低有关,且腰围尺寸增加1cm与每增加1岁时大脑血流量的减少相同。然而,坚持体育锻炼或可改变肥胖与脑血流量减少之间的关联。

在应对脑血流减少时,该研究建议,每天至少进行1.52个小时中等轻度的体育锻炼,包括快走或骑自行车等。另外,研究人员强调,任何体育活动的增加,特别是已经融入日常生活中的活动,比如园艺,都有助于维持并可能改善脑血流量。

同时,研究人员表示,持续地健康地向大脑供血至关重要,因为可以确保大脑有足够的氧气和营养。如果大脑的血液流动受到损害,则会随着年龄的增长而导致严重的健康问题,例如增加痴呆症和阿尔茨海默氏病患病风险。众所周知,肥胖很容易让人患上与年龄有关的疾病,甚至在40岁以后,预期寿命降低多达6岁,女性的预期寿命降低多达7岁。

综上,该研究揭示了肥胖与血液供应减少之间的关联,但体育锻炼对超重或肥胖人群很重要,这有助于防止脑血流量减少以及由此引起的健康问题。
