ARCH PATHOL LAB MED:射频识别标本追踪以提高解剖病理学质量

本研究的目的是实施样本追踪基础流程措施以减少样本采集和实验室加入之间的分析前误差(样本错误标记或损失)。具体目标是将分析前误差降低至少70%,同时减少员工解决分析前误差或调查丢失标本的努力。

研究人员研制了射频识别样本跟踪系统。主要特点包括由收集套件中的即时服务打印机打印的集成式射频识别标签(射频识别标签和传统条形码在单个打印标签中); 在主要过境点分散了射频识别阅读器; 电子病历,实验室信息系统和射频识别跟踪系统的系统集成,以允许计算机化医生命令输入驱动的标签生成,标本运输时间跟踪,基于间隔的警报和自动化加入。

在实施后6个月期间,使用射频识别系统在收集区域发生了6起误贴事件,而在实施前6个月期间发生了24起事件(减少了75%;P =0.001)。此外,该系统还及时挽回了3个丢失的标本。此外,从高频到超高频射频识别标签过渡期间,标签费用大幅降低。

研究结果表明,利用射频识别技术对标本进行跟踪,避免了几种潜在的标本丢失事件,缩短了标本恢复时间,减少了标本标记误差。此外,系统标记/跟踪费用的增加被节省的时间和通过减少错误避免的损失所抵消。
