美国匹兹堡大学发现:熬夜后,白天补觉,并不能减轻熬夜带来的伤害!

研究表明,短短的补个觉,并不能减轻熬夜带来的伤害。

睡眠是人体的一种修复过程,可以恢复精神和解除疲劳。人的一生中,大约三分之一的时间是在睡眠中度过,良好的睡眠是国际社会公认的三项健康标准之一,而睡眠时间过短或睡眠不佳均会影响健康。

在当今社会,熬夜已成为许多年轻人的新常态。经常熬夜会给身体带来非常大的危害,例如熬夜会引起免疫功能失调、皮肤粗糙、生物钟紊乱等,更严重的是,长期熬夜还会引发猝死。

在中国,超3亿人存在睡眠障碍,成年人失眠发生率高达38.2%,超9成小学生睡眠时长未达标,而且这一数据还在逐年上升中。

近日,美国匹兹堡大学的研究人员在" Sleep "期刊上发表了一篇题为" Slow-wave sleep during a brief nap is related to reduced cognitive deficits during sleep deprivation "的研究论文。

该研究表明,晚上熬夜,白天补觉,并不能缓解睡眠不足带来的认知伤害,仅凭短短的补个觉,脑子并不能恢复清醒

正常睡眠分为两个时相,快波睡眠慢波睡眠。每个睡眠周期由一个慢波睡眠和一个快波睡眠组成,约为90分钟,正常睡眠一般经历4-6个周期。人体睡眠中最关键的是慢波睡眠,这是睡眠最深、最具有恢复性的阶段,主要以“高振幅、低频率”的脑电波为标志,是身体最为放松的睡眠阶段。

在该研究中,研究人员招募了275名参与者开展了一系列实验,来评估缺觉有关的认知缺陷。所有参与者被随机分成三组,一组当晚回家睡觉,另一组留在实验室里熬通宵,还有一组熬通宵后允许小睡30或60分钟。

在实验的第二天早上,这些参与者需要完成几项专门设计的认知测试,主要考察的是警觉性、注意力、多任务切换过程的连贯性和记忆能力。

研究发现,熬夜会损害参与者的各项能力,并且小睡的参与者也并不能减少这种伤害,与回家睡觉的参与者相比,他们在测试中犯错的数量更多

睡眠和睡眠不足组的错误率

此外,在小睡组,参与者获得的慢波睡眠与减少两项测试的不良表现有关。每增加10分钟的慢波睡眠,在复杂的测试中,错误率降低4%左右

研究人员表示,虽然4%在实验室的结果中显得微不足道,但对于一些外科医生、司机或者警察等职业而言,减少4%的错误,意味着避免更多意外。虽然打盹并不能明显地缓解睡眠剥夺造成的不良影响,但我们发现,在打盹期间获得的慢波睡眠,与减轻睡眠不足造成的伤害有关。

小睡30分钟与60分钟对比

所以,尽管小睡并不能替代整晚的睡眠,但有时间补觉还是要尽快补觉。

研究人员指出,未来的研究应该探索午睡持续时间、与任务表现相关的午睡时间以及午睡的昼夜节律安排如何相互作用,以优化午睡对认知表现的有效性。

综上,研究表明,短短的补个觉,并不能减轻熬夜带来的伤害。
