芬兰坦佩雷大学研发一种人造鼻子,可在手术中快速“嗅出”脑组织是否癌变,同时有助于精确切除肿瘤。

芬兰坦佩雷大学研发一种人造鼻子,可在手术中快速“嗅出”脑组织是否癌变,同时有助于精确切除肿瘤。

目前,冰冻切片病理诊断是在手术进行时判断组织是否癌变的首要方法,但是需要把组织样本送出手术室进行病理分析,无法做到实时判断。

研究人员近期在美国《神经外科学杂志》发表论文说,他们研发的这种人造鼻子主要由微分迁移率光谱分析仪和一把电刀组成,用电刀切割组织产生烟雾,再用光谱分析仪分析烟雾中的离子,即可判断脑组织是否癌变。

研究人员从28名接受过神经外科手术的患者脑中提取694份组织样本进行测试,其中部分为脑肿瘤部位样本。研究发现,这种人造鼻子对样本的整体判断准确率可达83%。

这种人造鼻子可在手术中对疑似肿瘤组织进行实时判断,还能实现对肿瘤不同位置样本的分析。论文第一作者、坦佩雷大学研究员伊尔卡·哈帕拉介绍,人造鼻子还可与神经外科手术室中的现有设备相连接。
