抗氧化剂还减少了喂养西方饮食的小鼠的肝脏中的炎症。研究人员发现,即使当小鼠放弃母乳喂养三个星期后,PQQ也可保护成年小鼠免受脂肪肝影响。

Jonscher认为,抗氧化剂可能对母亲的肥胖,高脂肪饮食和炎症相关的疾病起作用。

PQQ在人类母乳,大豆,欧芹,芹菜,猕猴桃和木瓜中发现。在土壤和星际尘埃也发现。

Jonscher说,它可能用作产前或哺乳期的补充剂,以保护肥胖母亲的儿童在成年期不会患肝脏和心血管疾病,但孕妇在服用任何补充剂之前应该咨询医生。
