肺泡巨噬细胞是肺泡颗粒清除中的关键细胞,其活化和功能可能受到各种颗粒的影响。在这里,我们研究了原始纤维素纳米晶体(CNC)的摄取,以及它们对肺泡巨噬细胞极化和生物学功能的影响。CNC摄取增强了几种细胞因子的分泌,但本身并没有诱导完整的巨噬细胞极化。存在巨噬细胞活化剂如LPS / IFNG和IL4 / IL13的情况下,CNC暴露增强了M1表型标志物的表达和促炎细胞因子和趋化因子的分泌,同时降低了M2标志物。CNC暴露也影响活化的肺泡巨噬细胞的功能,导致突出的细胞因子破裂和改变的吞噬活性。

总之,CNC暴露可能导致巨噬细胞活化和功能的失调,这对肺部的炎症反应至关重要。
