Nature:新型血检,早一年发现癌细胞,把癌症扼杀在摇篮里

在此次研究中,英国癌症研究所的研究人员取得了肺癌患者肿瘤切除过程中的血液样本,他们分析了缺陷DNA,并为每一个患者制作了癌症基因指纹,在手术后的三个月再次进行血检,观察癌症DNA是否再现。此次研究结果发表于《自然》杂志中,研究证据显示,这种方法可以比以往检查提前一年预知癌症是否复发。
 
研究人员表示:“我们可以在病人还没有任何症状的时候就预知癌症是否会复发,争取了宝贵的治疗时间,这为癌症复发患者提供了新希望,我们都知道,复发是癌症致命的关键因素之一,大约占据了50%。”
 
“另外,从理论上来讲,癌细胞还小的时候更容易消灭,等到长大,可以看得见的时候,消灭和控制都为时已晚。”
“因此,希望通过我们的这次研究,可以在癌细胞的数量还为数不多的时候就进行及时的控制,进一步延长癌症患者的寿命,也把要复发的癌症扼杀在摇篮里。”
