研究人员从现有数据库中收集了关于omega-3多不饱和脂肪酸和/或鱼类摄入量的研究,通过三名研究人员独立评估纳入和提取数据,然后使用随机效应模型组合特定研究的风险估计。
最后总共有21项研究被纳入荟萃分析。较高的omega-3 PUFA 的膳食摄入量可以降低 14%( [RR]:0.86,95%[CI]:0.77、0.96)的早期和29%(RR:0.71、95% CI:0.55、0.91)的晚期AMD风险。剂量反应分析显示,每增加1 g/d omega-3 PUFA 的摄入,早期和晚期 AMD 的风险分别可以降低6%和22%。总体而言,对于个体omega-3 多不饱和脂肪酸,二十碳五烯酸和二十二碳六烯酸的摄入与较低的 AMD 风险呈负相关,而与 α-亚麻酸无关。在鱼类摄入量和 AMD 之间也发现了一致的负相关关联。每15克/天的鱼消耗量与早期和晚期 AMD 降低 13% 和 14% 相关,因此,鱼类摄入量与 AMD 进展的风险显着降低有关(RR:0.73,95% CI:0.53,1.00)。
