一旦检测到细胞中存在 DNA 病毒,身体便会产生一种名为“AIM2 类炎性体”的分子传感器。
来自美国西北大学范伯格医学院的研究人员发现,一种被称为 POP3 的人体蛋白会特别干扰这类炎性体的产生并因此减少炎症反应。研究人员通过转基因手段让小鼠体内 POP3 表达在巨噬细胞这类很重要的免疫细胞中得到加强,从而实现在活体中对这种蛋白作用的分析。他们发现,与在人体细胞中发现的数据类似,小鼠的 POP3 蛋白会削弱抗病毒反应和炎症。这意味着, POP3 蛋白或可成为开发抗炎症或抗病毒新疗法的一种有效工具。
