近日,一篇发表于国际杂志Diabetes Care上的研究论文中,来自圣路易斯大学(Saint Louis University)的科学家们通过研究发现,尽管人们通常认为锻炼对机体的益处、能量限制及体重减少之间可以互换,但当进行2型糖尿病风险的管理控制时,上述三种活动均可提供不同的累积效益。

文章中,研究者招募了喜欢静坐且过重的中年男性及女性个体,将其分为三组,让这三组个体分别通过能量限制、锻炼及两者结合的方式降低6%至8%的体重;同时研究人员对参与者的胰岛素敏感度水平进行记录,胰岛素敏感度是糖尿病风险的标志物,其可以帮助检测机体对所用的胰岛素是否有效。

研究者Weiss表示,机体的血糖或许完全正常,但如果你的胰岛素敏感度较低,那么你就有可能会发生血糖问题,尤其是潜在地引发2型糖尿病。研究结果表明,锻炼和能量限制对胰岛素敏感度具有正向效应,更有意思的是,同时进行锻炼和能量限制组的参与者的胰岛素敏感度的改善情况是单一两组个体的2倍。

因此锻炼和能量限制对于机体的糖代谢调节具有附加的有益效应,我们都知道锻炼可以改善糖代谢调节,而这种改善作用是通过体重降低及其依赖的机制所实现的,这就意味着即便你不减肥,通过锻炼也可以帮助改善机体的糖代谢。从另一个角度来讲研究者推测,能量限制可以简单地改善糖代谢调节,这或许是因为能量限制可以导致体重降低。

而让研究者好奇的是,他们发现锻炼诱发的体重降低相比单一能量限制而言并不会改善个体的糖代谢,而研究者Weiss说道,我们发现能量限制,比如锻炼或许可以提供比体重降低更加有效的益处,如果这是真的,那么研究者就可以期望通过将锻炼和能量限制相结合来更加有效地进行个体机体糖代谢调节的控制。

有很多个体认为如果他们可以维持一个健康的体重,那么他们并不会在乎他们的饮食,而又有些人认为他们只需要维持一个合适的饮食摄入即可,并不需要运动;本文研究表明,如果通过锻炼加上适当的饮食控制那么你会更加健康。
