Sci Rep:为法医提供更精准地推断年龄的新方法

年龄推断是法医学研究的重要课题,传统的个体年龄推断方法一直存在着技术局限和判定年龄跨度大等问题。近年来,表观遗传学的研究发现DNA甲基化与年龄之间存在关联性,为年龄评估带来新希望。

科研人员通过甲基化芯片检测21~32岁女性双胞胎血样样本的全基因组DNA甲基化,筛选出与中国汉族女性个体年龄具有高度相关性的位点,并在介于20~80岁之间的女性血样内对上述年龄相关位点验证,然后将进一步获得的6个与年龄高度相关的位点用多种方法进行年龄推断。经比较,新方法预测的年龄误差为2.8岁、交叉验证之后的年龄误差为4.7岁,优于其他方法。
