为了解经诊断为2型糖尿病之前发生的复杂代谢变化,我们调查了糖尿病前期患者和正常血糖患者血浆代谢组学特征的差异。

非靶向代谢组学数据来源于美国德克萨斯州斯塔尔县127名墨西哥裔美国人的155份血浆样本分析结果。在收集样本时,没有人患有2型糖尿病,69人至少有一项标准为糖尿病前期。我们测试了氨基酸和其他代谢物与每一种糖尿病前期亚型之间的统计关联。

研究发现糖尿病前期和正常血糖个体之间氨基酸谱的显著差异,以及糖尿病前期亚型之间氨基酸水平的进一步差异。在测试所有命名的代谢物时,几种脂肪酸也与2小时血糖水平显著相关。多变量鉴别分析表明,非靶向代谢组学数据在识别糖尿病前期亚型间的代谢差异方面具有相当大的潜力。

研究结果表明,除了众所周知的支链氨基酸的差异外,患有糖尿病前期亚型的人都有独特的代谢组学特征。
