该研究为KLIMOP研究的一部分,包含老年癌症患者 (≥70 岁)、相对年轻的癌症患者 (50-69 岁)、以及老年非癌症患者。研究者采集了参与者的基线资料和随访1年后的资料。根据De Jong-Gierveld孤独量表评估参与者孤独情况。通过多因素回顾分析评估了疲劳、认知功能和功能状态的改变与孤独的关系。
该研究纳入了475名患者,基线资料显示老年癌症患者比非癌症患者孤独感更少。随访1年后,老年癌症患者情感孤独的频率显著增加 (26-42%, p < 0.001) ,且达到了老年非癌症患者水平。年起点的癌症患者情感孤独也在增加(25-34%, p = 0.02),但是没有老年癌症患者那么多 (40-38%, p = 0.69)。社会孤独并没有什么变化。患者持续疲劳或认知功能损伤会增加孤独的风险。
研究结果表明孤独,尤其是情感孤独,是癌症患者普遍存在的问题,并且随着时间的变化,孤独感的频率也在发生变化。
