最近,研究人员就铅暴露与过敏性疾病、铅与免疫球蛋白E(作为中介变量)和基于性别的差异进行了调查研究。研究人员利用多阶段分层随机抽样方法招募了台湾幼儿园儿童作为研究群体,并通过调查问卷的方式获得过敏疾病和环境暴露信息。研究利用电感藕合等离子体质谱技术比较了患有过敏疾病和不患有过敏疾病儿童的血液铅水平。血液铅与过敏疾病的关系利用逻辑回归评估,铅和免疫球蛋白E的关系利用广义线性模型进行评估。研究人员同样进行了中介分析来评估利用免疫球蛋白E解释铅暴露相关过敏疾病的风险程度。研究中,总共有930名儿童完成了样本信息收集。研究结果显示,铅与哮喘有着正相关关系。在调整了潜在混杂因素后,血铅同样与血清免疫球蛋白E成正相关关系(β=0.26kU/l per ln-unit increase Pb concentration; 95% CI 0.009-0.50kU/l)。性别分层分析显示血铅与免疫球蛋白E仅在男孩中相关(β=0.40kU/l; 95% CI 0.03-0.76kU/l)。研究人员评估,免疫球蛋白水平调控的哮喘铅暴露影响占总影响的38%。最后,研究人员指出,在男性儿童中,铅暴露与血液中免疫球蛋白和哮喘都相关。进一步指出的是,铅暴露的对哮喘的影响也许通过免疫球蛋白E调控。
