PNAS:新型腕带设备查汗液诊断疾病

美国研究人员17日报告研制出一种腕带类型的可穿戴传感设备,能通过检查汗液帮助诊断糖尿病、囊胞性纤维症等疾病。美国斯坦福大学与加州大学伯克利分校研究人员在新一期美国《国家科学院学报》上报告说,这种传感设备收集汗液并测量其分子成分,然后通过智能手机将数据上传至有关服务器进行分析、诊断。与此前的汗液收集仪器不同的是,他们的技术只使用微量汗液,患者不必为获取汗液而长久静坐。研究负责人之一、斯坦福大学副教授

美国斯坦福大学与加州大学伯克利分校研究人员在新一期美国《国家科学院学报》上报告说,这种传感设备收集汗液并测量其分子成分,然后通过智能手机将数据上传至有关服务器进行分析、诊断。与此前的汗液收集仪器不同的是,他们的技术只使用微量汗液,患者不必为获取汗液而长久静坐。研究负责人之一、斯坦福大学副教授卡洛斯·米拉在一份声明中说:“这是一个巨大的进步。”

这种传感设备由柔性传感器和微处理器组成,贴在皮肤上可刺激汗腺分泌汗液,然后根据相关电信号测量汗液中存在的分子与离子。如果氯离子含量高,那么患者有可能罹患囊胞性纤维症;而如果血糖高,这可能意味着糖尿病

囊胞性纤维症是一种常见遗传病,会导致黏液在肺部和胰腺等器官积聚。按已使用70年的常规方法,患者必须去专门机构做检查,静坐30分钟,利用电极刺激皮肤汗腺以获取汗液再进行检测。相比之下,新型传感设备可快速一次性完成全部工作。

研究人员还利用这种仪器来测量汗液中的葡萄糖水平,后者与血糖水平相对应,因此这种设备也有望用来诊断、监测糖尿病及其前期状况。此外,这种技术也能用来检测汗液的其他分子成分,比如钠离子、钾离子和乳酸,也能用来检测其他病症。

目前,研究人员正在开展大规模临床研究,以进一步弄清汗液成分读数与健康的相互关系。他们希望未来能把这个设备整合进智能手表中,方便用户使用。
