Clin Nutrition: 老年人中omega-3脂肪酸摄入量与肌肉力量之间的关联

背景

肌肉力量是老年人死亡率的预测指标,某些饮食成分与此变量有关。然而,对老年人中omega-3脂肪酸(ω-3)摄入量与强度之间的关系知之甚少。因此,本项研究旨在评估50岁以上人群中ω-3摄入量是否与肌肉力量有关。同时还旨在评估ω-3摄入量对饮食脂肪酸类型的等热量替代是否可能与肌肉力量有关。

 

 

方法

这项研究纳入了1999-2000年和2001-2002年国家健康和营养调查(NHANES)中年龄在50至85岁之间的老年人。总共对2141人(1119名男性和1022名女性)进行了评估,并提供了完整,可靠的饮食摄入量和膝部伸肌的等速肌力(峰值力量)数据。对于热量取代分析则对多不饱和(ω-3除外),单不饱和,饱和脂肪和ω-6消耗ω-3所引起的取代是否与强度相关进行分析。

 

 

结果

男性中的肌肉峰值力与ω-3,二十二碳六烯酸(DHA),二十碳五烯酸(EPA)和α-亚麻酸(ALA)的摄入量呈正相关。但是,在对混杂因素进行调整后,仅ω-3的总摄入量与肌肉力量相关。ω-3摄入量与女性力量无关。ω-3饱和,多不饱和,单不饱和脂肪和ω-6的等热量取代物与肌肉峰值力无关。

 

 

结论

ω-3的总摄入量与老年男性的肌肉力量呈正相关,而老年女性则没有这样的现象。
