Laser and Particle Beams is an international journal which deals with the generation of intense laser and particle beams the interaction of these beams with matter and their applications. The journal aims to serve scientists in this field and to aid the task of understanding and modeling related basic phenomena in particular linear and non-LTE phenomena. Subjects covered include physics of high energy densities; hot dense matter and related atomic plasma and hydrodynamic physics; intense sources of coherent radiation from the microwave to the X-ray region; high current particle accelerators; and beam-wave interaction and pulsed power technology. Coverage includes specific fields such as nuclear fusion by inertial confinement including target physics and technology and numerical simulation of target phenomena; laboratory astrophysics and space physics; and diagnostics for high energy density experiments.
