This international journal provides a medium of communication between engineers and scientists engaged in research and development within the fields of science embraced by the International Federation for the Theory of Machines and Mechanisms (IFToMM). These fields are: mechanism, dynamics of machines; applied vibrations; gearing and transmissions; man-machine systems and robots; mechanical systems; pneumatic and hydraulic machine controls; applications of mathematics, graphics and computers to machine theory and design; and experimental test techniques and results. The journal announces conferences, news of IFToMM, publishes book and thesis reviews, and letters to the Editor.
