Articles should include clear learning points which readers can use to inform medical education or clinical practice. The types of cases of interest to Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports include:

  •     Insight into disease pathogenesis or mechanism of therapy
  •     Novel diagnostic procedure
  •     Novel treatment

Articles reporting a single case to a case series will be considered.

Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports is unique in bringing together international and national endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism societies to collaborate on this publication in order to benefit those societies, their members and the community as a whole. Abstracting and indexing

Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports online ISSN: 2052-0573

Published articles are fully referenced and linked to a wide variety of discoverability services.

Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports is indexed in a wide variety of relevant databases, these include: Directory of Open Access Journals, Web of Science’s Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Google Scholar, HINARI, PubMed, PubMed Central, and SCImago. We anticipate future indexing by Medline, which will be applied to all published articles retrospectively.

Research journal editorial policies usually restrict all but a few (if any) case reports being published so as not to waste valuable space or stunt impact factor growth. As case reports are not highly cited (despite being widely read), we do not expect this publication to be considered for an impact factor by Clarivate. Rather, Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Case Reports will provide a welcome publishing outlet for authors’ case reports, and will not be restricting the number of high-quality case reports published.
