The journal publishes original research papers invited reviews and comments on any aspect and level of the biology of marine and brackish water organisms. Topics of particular interest are: " Ecological dynamics " Life cycles " Biological oceanography " Environmental biology " Physiology and behaviour " Morphology evolution and taxonomy " Cultivation and techniques Papers on related fields of research which are important to marine biology will also be considered for publication. Preference is given to research results from European seas.
