Special Issue on Visualisation in Marine Science Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science will be presenting a special issue on Visualisation in Marine Science in 2000. This exciting issue of Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science demonstrates that computer visualisation offers a technique to explore complex data sets and readily extract processes or pertinent data. It also demonstrates that computer visualisation enables the interaction between scientists of different disciplines and promotes further integration of the different data sets. Examples are given of the use of computer visualisation in various applications. Many spectacular examples of 3D visualisation of complex data sets will be presented alongside this issue.
