The Journal of Geochemical Exploration covers all aspects of the geochemistry of the environment and the application of geochemistry to the exploration and study of mineral resources and related fields. Topics include: the description and evaluation of new or improved methods of geochemical exploration; sampling and analytical techniques and methods of interpretation; processes of geochemical dispersion in rocks, soils, vegetation, water and the atmosphere and geochemical distributions in and around mineralized environments. Papers that seek to integrate geochemical, geological and geophysical methods of exploration of the environment are particularly welcome. Given the many links between exploration and environmental geochemistry, the journal encourages the exchange of concepts and data, in particular to promote sustainable development of mineral resources while protecting the environment. In addition to research papers, the Journal will contain review articles, case histories and book reviews. A "Forum section" is provided for timely expression of views and ideas, and will provide a means of commenting on papers that have been published in this journal in which case a reply will be sought from the author of the original paper. These submissions will be reviewed for reasonableness by the Editor-in-Chief and published as rapidly as possible.
