The ASTIN Bulletin is the Journal of the ASTIN and AFIR Sections of the International Actuarial Association. It devotes itself to the mathematics of insurance and specializes on topics related to general insurance (as opposed to life insurance) or on topics related to financial risks with a specific insurance focus. The primary audience of the ASTIN Bulletin are practitioners working in financial institutions with interests in insurance and academics specializing in insurance related research.
ASTIN Bulletin publishes papers that are relevant to any branch of actuarial science and insurance mathematics. Its papers are quantitative and scientific in nature, and draw on theory and methods developed in any branch of the mathematical sciences including actuarial mathematics, statistics, probability, financial mathematics and econometrics.
