2021年初，由天津大学与Wiley合作推出的一本聚焦智能材料领域前瞻性科研成果的英文“开放获取”学术期刊。该刊编辑部设在天津大学期刊中心，该期刊由天津大学副校长胡文平教授与香港城市大学张华教授担任共同主编。副主编分别由美国埃默里大学 Khalid Salaita教授以及英国剑桥大学Henning Sirringhaus教授担任。本刊聚焦智能材料，如有机半导体材料、二维材料、形状记忆材料、生物仿生材料、自修复材料、智能柔性材料以及人工智能、类脑计算、分子识别、分子机器等新型材料。
