This international journal publishes original research in all areas of applied mathematics. Welcomed are papers describing new computational techniques for solving scientific problems, and carefully-tested algorithms. Survey articles dealing with interactions between different fields of applied mathematics are also published.Very specialized papers are not included, the idea being that papers should be readily understood by readers whose speciality lies outside the subject area.Featured are a Letters Section and the CAM Newsletter, edited by P. Dierckx and R. Piessens (University of Leuven, Belgium). This newsletter includes announcements and reports of conferences, institutional reports, and numerical software.
