The aim of Regional Environmental Change is to focus on the interactions of human and natural systems at the regional level within the context of global change. Regions that will be considered are river catchments estuaries delta's adjacent seas and wetlands as well as the interactions between cities and their environment. Disciplinary but in particular multi-disciplinary approaches to the study of these systems will be considered. Examples of issues to be addressed in the journal include: Changes in the environmental quality of regions and methods to analyze such changes (ethnographic modeling economic qualitative historical diagnostic prognostic) Industrial ecology: the interaction between industrial activities and natural systems (indicators assimilative capacity capacity controlling parameters critical loads concepts) Decision making processes regarding space and natural resources Transboundary issues and legislative framework Regional impact of climate change and options for adaptation Natural and social science aspects of extreme events Multi-stress on eco-systems Multi-functional use of environmental resources Restoration/rehabilitation of degraded systems Tourism/Leisure activities and nature conservation Sustainable use/multi-functional use of environmental resources at the regional level Economic valuation of nature in its spatial context Governance and environmental change The interrelation of ecology economy and societal processes
