JAMA Cardiology:欧米茄-3补充剂未必减少心脏病风险

一项最新研究指出,对于已经是心脏病高风险的人群来说,服用欧米茄-3脂肪酸补充剂可能无助于降低他们的心脏问题风险。

此前有研究认为,欧米茄-3脂肪酸可能有助于减少心跳异常和动脉栓塞风险、降低血脂和血压等。美国心脏病协会推荐每周至少吃两份鱼,或服用欧米茄-3脂肪酸补充剂作为替代。

一个国际研究团队综合分析了10项试验的数据,覆盖7.7万多名此前曾经历过心脏病发作、中风或有糖尿病等其他健康问题的研究对象。这些人被随机分配服用欧米茄-3脂肪酸补充剂或安慰剂。

在加入试验时,这些被研究对象平均年龄为64岁,平均被跟踪研究4.4年。在跟踪研究期间,有2695人死于心脏病,2276人经历了非致命性心脏病发作,1713人出现中风,还有6603人经历了治疗动脉堵塞的手术。

研究人员在新一期《美国医学会杂志·心脏病学卷》上报告说,虽然服用欧米茄-3脂肪酸补充剂可以轻微降低死于心脏病或心脏病发作等的风险,但是与未服用的人群相比,差别过小,几乎可以忽略。

研究人员指出,这项研究仍存在一些局限性,如不了解被研究对象是否吸烟以及详细的癌症病史等,这都可能会影响罹患心脏病或死于心脏病的概率。

不过,有未参与这项研究的专家认为,尽管没有明确证据表明欧米茄-3补充剂能够预防心脏病,但是考虑到该补充剂安全且价格不高、没有严重的副作用,而且确实有益心脏,且有助于保持记忆力和视力,因此对已经在服用的患者来说,继续服用这种补充剂并没有什么问题。
